A mental wellness app has been developed to help businesses and people cope with the stress caused by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

Calgary-based company headversity is a workplace wellness app employers can use to support and track the mental health of their staff through five-minute daily resiliency micro lessons.

“It’s important for employers to realize that resiliency will help their staff learn how to adjust to a new normal,” said psychiatrist Dr. Ryan Todd, Founder & CEO of the company. “Our resilience platform blends the very best of today’s mental wellness education and data technology so that you can easily and effectively manage change. The client dashboards provide insight so leaders can better support their people and create a resilient workplace.”

The company said it is different from other mental wellness apps as it uses a unique algorithm to create custom learning programs to help companies of any size, in any industry. It’s the only resilience training app in Canada with a validated measurement tool, and is backed by evidence-based principles from the fields of neuroscience, psychiatry and performance psychology, it said.

The technology & wellness company was founded in 2018 by a team of five professionals dedicated to changing mental health in the workplace.
